1 in 6 people will face hunger over the holiday season. This can be a very discouraging time for anyone struggling with not enough money/food. Imagine waking up on a holiday, and having nothing to eat. How would you feel? Without a doubt being hungry at this time can ruin the holiday spirit. So why not try to lift the spirits?! That’s what these students did! Each meal had lentils, rice, veggies, and salt. All coming together to create a lentil casserole. These amazing meals packaged by students, will be handed out at soup kitchens, churches and food pantries! This was not only a moving experience but a fun and exciting time for all involved. As they listened to holiday music, each student whether they were shy or outgoing came together to create friendships like no other.
