5 Ways to Feel Rested for the Day

Have you ever set eight alarms just to snooze all of them in the morning? As much as waking up before sunrise should be illegal, there are a surprising amount of ways to help yourself wake up easily and on time. Here are some tips: 

Have a Better Sleeping Environment:
  • Make sure your room isn’t too hot or cold.
  • Use blankets and a fan to adjust the temperature.
    Only Set Two Alarms:
  • Setting two alarms 10-15 minutes apart reminds your body it’s time to get up.
  • Setting more than two alarms allows your body to become tired again.
Turn a Light On:
  • Turning a light on as soon as your alarm goes off helps your body to know it's time to get up and get ready for the day!
  • It’s the easiest thing to do and surprisingly effective.
 Eat Breakfast!:
  • It’s very common for a lot of people to not eat breakfast, but having a good breakfast to look forward to is enough to wake your body up and even get you excited and energized for the day.
  • Eating breakfast also boosts your metabolism.
 Keep the Same Schedule:
  • After a few weeks, your body’s clock will start waking you up earlier.
  • Stick to a set wake and bedtime and try to catch up on sleep during weekends.
Bonus Tips!:
  • It’s more than likely you use your phone to set alarm for the morning so to make it easier to wake up, set your phone aside for 30 minutes each night so your body can relax and get ready to sleep.
  • Another helpful tip is to put your phone farther from your bed so you have to reach for it or even get up to turn off your alarm.
    
Getting the right amount of sleep is very important for your body's health so it just might be a good idea to adjust your sleep schedule to tie in some of these tips and tricks.
